1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Layer Analytics(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use layer-analytics.com. It applies to visitors, prospects, and customers of the site.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide — such as your name, email, company, and message when you contact us, request a call, or download a resource, and the website URL you submit when you run our free audit.
  • Account & order information — when you purchase or register, including the products you buy and related billing details.
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Usage & device data — collected through cookies and analytics tools when you consent, such as pages viewed and general location and device type.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve our services, process orders and deliver products, respond to enquiries, send service messages, send marketing communications where you have consented (you can opt out at any time), and to secure and operate the site.

4. Legal bases

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires it, we rely on one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business, your consent (for analytics and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand usage. Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you consent through our banner (we use Google Consent Mode). You can change your choice via the banner or your browser settings.

6. Service providers we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers needed to run our business, under appropriate safeguards — currently our payment processor (Stripe), email provider (Resend), database, auth, and storage provider (Supabase), analytics (Google Analytics and Tag Manager), error monitoring (Sentry), and hosting (Vercel). Some of these providers may process data in the United States; where required, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards.

7. Data retention

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Enquiry and lead information is retained for up to 24 months and then deleted or anonymised, unless you become a customer. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider's settings.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and similar jurisdictions may request to know or delete their information and to opt out of any “sale” of personal data (we do not sell it). To exercise any of these rights, email hello@layer-analytics.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

9. Security & children

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. The site is intended for business users and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes & contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Questions about this policy or your data? Contact us at hello@layer-analytics.com.
